The Ruby Octopus was originally thought to be a juvenile GPO, tho later was proven to be its on species all together. Growing to a length of 50cm and only weighing up to 400g this little octo is a beautiful gem in our PNW waters. The colour of this species varies widely like most octopus but can be identified by 3 little papillae on beneath the eyes - almost like eyelashes. How cute is that?!
